Holbox Island has become famous in recent years, especially among nature lovers. And very close to this island is the annual arrival place of many whale sharks, the largest fish in the seven seas.
In addition to swimming with a whale shark, you can take a boat tour that will allow you to closely observe the birds that inhabit some nearby islets. Among them are the pink flamingo and the white heron, but there are hundreds of species that live in this paradise.
You can explore the white sand fairways on foot, by bike, or by golf cart.
It is one of the few places where you can see bioluminescent waters at night. Caused by microscopic phytoplankton, the water glows blue when agitated by waves or splashes. The best ways to experience bioluminescence are night snorkeling or night kayaking.
